As regulars to our site will know, the Myddleton Road Street Market holds a special place in our hearts. Not only was it the first market we ever did but it has consistently been the most welcoming and fun. There’s a very special vibe as the locals are so friendly and it rarely seems like hard work, chatting to friends over a few glasses of Portugal’s finest!

So, if you haven’t made it down to N22 just yet, it really is worth a visit to our stall. We change up what we sell at each market, so there’s always something new to try and always different special offers. So, in October we will be serving a hot Port punch (loved by the Victorian’s) called Smoking Bishop. It takes 26 hours to make and includes delightful roasted oranges and lemons and wonderful nutmeg and cinnamon, along with a deep red wine and a deliciously fruity Ruby Port. I defy anyone to pass without trying this magical concoction! Of course we will also be serving pastel de nata along with a few gluten free cakes and some amazing wine.

Drink Portuguese WIne at the EpicureanThis month you can also find us at the very first Epicurean event at the Truman Brewery in Brick Lane. The focus here is on trial and discovery, with over 1,000 unique products to sample. The £25 entry fee allows you to indulge in unlimited free sampling of wine, craft beer and food. The products are all from independent producers and importers, so they can’t be found in supermarkets or on the high street, and its a great opportunity to find new favourites!

If you would like more than a sample from us on the day you can buy by glass, bottle or case and get it delivered to any mainland UK address. That’s especially useful if you want to squirrel away a few treats for the festive period. There will also be talks, tastings, art and music just to add to the pleasure! Please do look at the website for further information and ticketing information and I’d get right on it too. It does look like an event that it going to sell out like hot cakes!
