This is an exceptional example a white wine from the Douro region of Portugal. The wine has genuine class and character that is rarely found.

This wine has a nice balance of acidity and minerality. Hints of peach and tropical fruit. A very good mouth feel with an incredibly long, slightly honeyed, finish. Everything you’d expect from a Grande Reserva. A very good wine. 5 stars

Just tried the 2013. Lovely deep gold. The nose was surprisingly quiet, but the palate – wow! This is really showing an impressive rich and complex range. Will be very interested to see how this develops further. A real shop stopper.
