There is plenty of buzz about Spanish Albarino, but of course we think the Portuguese do it better and this wine is a prime example. Vale d’Aldeia Alvarinho has amazing freshness and the minerality of much more expensive wine. This one is a gem!
Silver at Decanter WWW 2016 – “Floral and aromatic, upfront peach and citrus blossoms on the nose, lovely dry crisp palate, really refreshing stone fruit and apricot kernel with some mineral complexity.” 90 Points.
Praise for the 2014 vintage:
Gold at Concours de Lyon 2015
Commended at Decanter WWA 2015 – “Intense, steely and mineral Alvarinho with some bold and buttery characters.”
