With a deep ruby colour, Vale de Lobos red wine is complex with scents of vanilla, ripe blackberry and nuts. The wine is medium / full bodied and it has a persistent finish. Best matched with spicy dishes, traditional Portuguese dishes, roasted red meats and strong cheeses.

Winemaking process

Temperature controlled fermentation at 24 – 26 degrees, with skin, seeds and pulp in order to extract colour and tannins before filtration.

The wine is aged for 4 months in oak barrels.

We think

This wine is made with a great mix of Portuguese grapes. With slightly higher acidity this is a wine that goes really well with hot and spicy food. The ideal partner for a lamb curry!
