Hang on a minute?! We have been in semi-hibernation here at Drink Portuguese Wine and have failed to realise that Spring has well and truly sprung and next Sunday (27th March) is not only Easter but is also going to be our first street market of 2016! Cripes and hurrah all at the same time!

Cripes because we have a week to finish preparing our stall and hurrah as it’s going to be the amazing Myddleton Road Market (we so look forward to it!) and we are showcasing our fabulous light, crisp and refreshing range of traditional, Portuguese Vinho Verde (Green Wine).

Vinho Verde is perfect for this time of year. It’s low in alcohol and light to drink, a nice change from the heavy Wintry reds. It’s lower in calories, for those fed up with the stodge we’ve been warming ourselves with! It tastes as crisp as a late March morning, and it feels celebratory, as many of the wines in the range have a slight frizzle (technical term)!

So if you are a little bored with grabbing a cheap supermarket Prosecco but you still want some bubbles to truly celebrate Easter (and the long, lazy weekend) with your family, come and spring into green and help us usher in this glorious seasonal splendour with some fruity and flavoursome Vinho Verde!

As ever, we will be selling Port, Pastel de Nata (Portuguese custard tarts) and will be mixing up our own special recipe, White Sangria for your delectation.

Looking forward to seeing you all there!

Suade!
