Experts say

95 points Wine Spectator. “Big, rich and full of Asian spice notes that are woven between the ripe dark plum, blackberry and dried blueberry flavours. Chocolate mousse accents linger on the long and creamy finish with some savory hints. Complex.”

92 points Decanter Magazine ” a complex flavour spectrum from sweet, creamy blackberry to lush Morello cherry with a twist of bitter chocolate and crushed velvet tannins. The finish is imperiously long.”

91 Points – Mark Squires erobertparker.com “Utterly charming, crisp and aromatic, it is refined and beautifully balanced. Quite forward this year, it should be very nice young – which doesn’t mean that it won’t improve over the next few years.”

“The 2012 is certainly very pretty” – Sarah Ahmed

  1. Pat

This is a serious wine. A truly astonishing aroma that would almost knock you over. Decant this for at least a couple of hours and let the flavours open up. What a mouthful! So rich and complex. Almost smokey with flavours of damson, plum and berries. A beautiful, long finish. You know it’s a fantastic wine as soon as you pick it up and with that finish you’ll be tasting it on your palate for a long, long time.

I rarely spend this much on a wine, but this stands up really well against the fine Bordeaux and Barolos that I’ve bought for a similar price. So complex; so full of deep and delicious flavours.

This is a spectacular wine. It’s not going to be your house red, unless you’re very well off, but treat yourself or someone you love with this. It’s a special occasion wine and it’s truly beautiful.
